ABOUT STUDY BUZZ

QUINCY MILLER

CEO AND FOUNDER

I created Study Buzz because, throughout my time at the University of Tennessee, I saw firsthand what students truly need to succeed—convenience, community, and a place that matches the intensity of college life. As a Business Management major with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, I was constantly applying what I learned in class to real experiences, whether I was interning at Enterprise Mobility managing fast-paced operations, supporting sales and marketing teams at Alvissoft, or helping new hires feel welcomed through my work in Human Resources at UT Medical Center. These roles taught me how powerful the right systems, the right culture, and the right service experience can be. At the same time, being a Peer Mentor and a member of Women of Haslam showed me how much students rely on each other—and how much they benefit from spaces built specifically for their success.

After studying abroad in Barcelona and experiencing how other countries design community-centered cafés and study spaces, I realized something important: UT students needed a place that fueled both their productivity and their creativity. Late-night study sessions, early mornings before exams, and the constant balancing act of school, internships, and involvement often meant students struggled to find accessible, energizing options when they needed them most. Study Buzz was my answer—a customizable, student-focused beverage bar designed to support the lifestyle we live every day.

Study Buzz blends my passion for entrepreneurship, my experience in operations and marketing, and my commitment to helping students feel supported. It’s more than a drink bar—it’s a place built for students and the community, by a student who understands the grind, the goals, and the caffeine it takes to get there.
